Updated version of this article avaibale
hereLong awaited...at least from my side, to be able to publish stuff on this site in another format than postings in a board, while keeping everything in one application (and not combining another CMS and a gallery and...):
th23 CMSThis modification will add a content management system (CMS) to your
phpBB board - it will enable you to create articles (independent from posts) and display them via which ever script / page / file in the
phpBB root directory you want.
You can e.g. create a "Welcome" article and display it when a user visits your board (via index.php) - of course with providing a link to the forum overview page as normal...but until that point nobody will even notice, that he is on a message board rather than on a fully fledged website.
In fact this MOD will make your
phpBB a fully fledged website / content management system
DisclaimerThis piece of work is still not final - being currently in the Beta / RC stage - and therefore you are welcome to
test it and report any kinds of bugs, but you are using this on your own risk...and should not use it in a live environment.
Feature requests are welcome as well...but they might not be taken into consideration for the release of version 1.0 anymore. However I will collect them, prioritize them and see, which will be included in a later version. - Just to give you an idea of what is already in my mind, I will post a list of ideas later on.
InstructionsFind them inside the download and follow them carefully!
ExampleThis website has the
th23 CMS (content management system) installed, see the homepage or
this article for example...
However, I put a page in place to give you an idea how it looks like in a "normal"
phpBB installation
